Winner of "Build Abraham`s Tent" Contest Receives Grand Prize!
This year, for the first time ever, Masbia Soup Kitchens held an arts and crafts "Build Abraham`s Tent" contest for all children ages 5 to 13 to commemorate the week of "Vayaira," which according to the Hebrew calendar is the week used to study Genesis 18, the story of Abraham feeding the hungry. Caring for the poor has been part of Jewish traditional culture since Abraham and Sarah first opened all four sides of their tent to welcome all who passed by in need of food and drink, from whichever direction. The tent of Abraham and Sarah represents and inspires our mission at Masbia as a charity organization.
We are proud to announce our contest`s grand prize winner, Freidy Strobel!! Freidy is a nine-year-old student at Bnos Yaakov Pupa of Boro Park. Thank you, Freidy, for all your hard work and effort on behalf of Masbia`s charity work.
