Local activists say that some of the migrants bussed-in from the Texas border Tuesday night arrived without shoes, or anywhere to go.

Volunteers from the Masbia Relief team are at the Port Authority today helping those migrants, along with the Office of Immigrant Affairs and the immigrant workers organization, la Colmena.

The Masbia Jewish group previously helped assist victims of the Twin Parks apartment fire.

Today, they are giving out shoes and socks, and helping these travelers get settled or find out where they’re going next.
