Sarah Singer’s Bat Mitzvah Honey Drive to Feed the Needy at Masbia
In honor of my Bat Mitzvah, I am partnering with Masbia, a kosher soup kitchen network and food pantry, to collect three hundred 12 oz. bottles of honey to distribute to needy families and individuals for Rosh Hashanah. At this time of year, we learn about the importance of teshuva (repentance), tefilla (prayer), and tzedakah (charity). For my Bat Mitzvah, I studied the laws of tefilla with my father, and with this project, I am incorporating the element of tzedakah. I hope you can join me in fulfilling this mitzvah and making the holidays sweeter for our friends in need. While we will also be collecting in person, I have created this link for anyone who would like to donate remotely. Any donations will be used to purchase honey to distribute to Masbia’s clients. Thank you so much for sharing in my celebration!
