NBC New York reports on Gov. Hochul releasing funds to support SNAP recipients, and the partnership of Masbia and DoorDash.

The government shutdown is now at day 27, and with no end in sight, federal food aid will be cut off in just five days. More than 40 million Americans rely on SNAP food benefits. Today, Governor Kathy Hochul announced that New York will release additional state funds to help support those recipients. NBC News 4 New York’s Erica Byfield reports.
